GENERATION ONE BOARD

The Generation One Board is dedicated to building the next generation of theatre subscribers and donors. Composed of professional adults, ages 25 to 40, the group meets at least five times each season and enjoys several social outings. The Generation One Board works on many projects, including new member recruitment, fund-raisers and theatre parties, among others. Additionally, members devote time to individual personal development and make a significant impact on the continued success of Actors Theatre.

GENERATION ONE BOARD OPPORTUNITIES
Membership Meetings
General meetings are held on five Monday nights between August and June. These meetings include a social hour, guest speaker and discussion of Generation One Board business.

Subscriptions
To show support and commitment to the theatre, each member must subscribe to the Mainstage, Discover or Preview Series.

Recruitment Party
Friends of the existing membership are invited for an evening of fun in hopes of attracting new members to the Generation One Board.

Theatre Parties
Complimentary tickets to productions are available on selected evenings to members to entertain potential theatre subscribers. These theatre parties, hosted by Generation One Board, are the first step in the attraction and retention of new audiences.

Dress Rehearsal Parties
Held before the opening of selected plays, local groups or selected individuals are invited to view a dress rehearsal. This behind-the-scenes look at theatre is also a great tool in attracting new audiences.

Enrichment Seminar
This seminar is geared to educate and energize volunteers, teaching them to be informed and enthusiastic ambassadors for Actors Theatre.

Fund-Raising Raffle
Each year, the Board sponsors a raffle to raise funds for the theatre.

Mid-Winter Fantasy
The Generation One Board participates in this annual fund-raiser sponsored by the Actors Theatre Board of Directors. This dinner and dance is a fun black-tie affair that helps raise money for the theatre.

Thunder Over Louisville Party
The Generation One Board's signature fund-raiser, which includes a silent auction, takes place on the roof of the Actors Parking Garage offering a prime view of the downtown fireworks extravaganza in a safe, fun environment.

Summer Bash
After a year of hard work, a final social gathering for members is held to recognize leaders and successes from the past season.
