Robin McGee

Robin is excited to be making her second appearance at Actors Theatre of Louisville as Amira in Party People! Robin was last seen at Actors Theatre as Fannie in FANNIE: The Music and Life of Fannie Lou Hamer.  She began the role at Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre in Atlanta and recently won the 2022 Suzi Bass Award for the role.  She later closed the three theatre tour in Pittsburgh, PA at City Theatre performing at the August Wilson's African American Culture Center.

Robin recently made her way from Tacoma, Washington to Savannah, Georgia two years ago and feels the move from the west to the southeast has been a blessing from God.  Her previous roles have included MatilidaTillie” Binks in “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” at Flat Rock Playhouse in Flat Rock, NC, Anne Marie in A Doll's House, Mrs. Dorgan in Laura, Asaka in Once on This Island and the world premiere of Shattering as Dee Dee all performed in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington.  Robin attended Friends University of Wichita, KS studying Musical Theatre and also Wichita State University for Theatre Performance.

Robin dedicates all her performances to her grandmother Fronie Johnson, and to her mother Regina Johnson, who both made God and music the forefront of her life.
