Guest Services Manager

Summary of Position:

The Guest Services Manager is a public facing position responsible for contributing to radical hospitality and extravagant welcome by engaging with guests for their ticketing and donation needs, and managing many logistical aspects for ticket sales and donations.

Essential Functions:

   Box Office

  • Facilitates all areas of customer service and attendance needs with guests to include but not limited to assistance with purchasing tickets online, facilitating accessibility needs, and providing information regarding ticketing and attendance policies.
  • Helps in the communication and facilitation of group sales.
  • Helps ensure ADA compliance with regards to ticketing practices, seating maps and inventory management
  • Coordinates theatre’s Open Captioning service and providers.

   Development

  • Performs gift entry for all contributions.
  • Maintains donor document files electronically.
  • Manages credit card pledge billing, monitoring pledge billing and updating credit card information when needed.
  • Maintains the monthly contributed income tracking document.
  • Provides analytical data as requested.

Other Duties:

  • Serves on the safety team with a group of internal stakeholders to ensure that Actors Theatre of Louisville’s policies are in alignment with current public health recommendations and best practices.
  • Works as liaison between ticketing, radical hospitality and production teams to ensure organization-wide ADA compliance.
  • Collaborates on the organization’s grassroots efforts to engage various community partners.
  • Pulls email/mailing lists for marketing, communication and development needs.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of databases and data entry standards.
  • Working knowledge of the ADA preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Office 365.
  • Ability to work days, nights and weekends as needed and on-site.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred but can be substituted with work experience.
  • A genuine interest in and knowledge of the Theatre with a commitment to the organization’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion work.
