Meropi Peponides is a theater maker, dramaturg, podcast producer, writer and co-founder of Radical Evolution where she most recently co-created Recipes for the (R)Evolution: a Radical Evolution Community Cookbook, Songs About Trains, The Corrido of the San Patricios and the podcast Little Known Legends. Her work explores cross-cultural affinity and seeks to disrupt cultural hierarchies by drawing inspiration from and lifting up BIPOC and nonwestern traditions. She has been collaboratively creating and producing theatre for the past 17 years with a focus on devised ensemble work, new plays, site-specific work and community-based performance. She was also one of the three Directors of Soho Rep in New York from 2019 - 2023 and served as the company’s producer since 2014. Previous fellowships include the 2021 CUP Fellowship; 2019 CreateNYC Leadership Accelerator Cohort; the Time Warner Fellowship with the Women’s Project Lab; and the Tom Prohel Creative Producing Fellowship with The Foundry Theatre.
