Alexandria Wailes
Alexandria Wailes [she/her] is an actor, director, choreographer, and director of artistic sign language (DASL). She has worked on numerous Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional theatres, television, and film.
Acting: Broadway: for colored girls, Spring Awakening, Big River.
Off-Broadway/Regional: for colored girls, I Was Most Alive with You, Oedipus, Our Town.
TV: CW’s The Flash, Little America, High Maintenance.
Directing: A Strange Loop (VOCA & DAT co-pro), A Not So Quiet Nocturne (VOCA), Once on This Island (Deaf Broadway for Lincoln Center), Spring Awakening (Skylight Music Theatre co-dir.), Deaf Spotlight’s 2023 Short Play Festival.
DASL: Broadway: King Lear, Children of a Lesser God. Regional: Private Jones.
Awards: 2022 Chita Rivera winner, 2020 Obie winner, 2020 Lucille Lortel nominee, 2022 Disability Futures Fellowship.
