Overview

Dragon Ball Z, Star Wars, Stranger Things - all franchises that highlight no-touch, power-based attacks. This workshop focuses on creating believable fight sequences using this “powers” vocabulary. Energy chokes, strikes, slams, stalemates, even neck breaks. Learn to fight like a psychic warrior, without ever touching your opponent. Limited Spots Available. Age: 18+

Bio: José Pérez IV has been the Resident Fight & Intimacy Director of Pittsburgh Public Theater for 4 seasons. Recent fight/intimacy credits at Actors Theatre of Louisville: two seasons of Dracula: a feminist revenge fantasy. Regional fight credits: Pittsburgh Public (Noises Off, The Hobbit, The Coffin Maker), City Theatre (POTUS), Quantum Theatre (Enron), Cleveland Playhouse (Mary Shelley's Frankenstein), Vermont Stages (Breakfalls), Tantrum Theatre (Hair). An Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, of which he has been a member for over 15 years.
